I did actually think this was a photo at first glance - then I read your comment! *blush* It's a BEAUTIFUL oil painting, you use the paints so sensitively. Your pallette is simply gorgeous, I love the cold, mysterious atmosphere you've produced with those blues and lilacs. Those bright highlights give it a brilliant crisp 'morning' feel that I just love. My only crit would be that the area of background under the right antler maybe lacks enough definition to give the proper sense of depth - it seems a little flat, maybe putting darker shades in would help - though I'm certianly no expert on backgrounds. :S
It looks kinda cute in a dopey, big-nosed way. +9/9

Thanks for sharing some great wildlife art with the dimmwits on this site Great work. I agree with tigerzi on the fade of the blur. Towards the front-legs it should have been sharper, or the legs should have been more blurred.

Concept:

Strong

Technical Skill:

Very strong

Impact/impression:

Very strong
Pros:
The lighting is excellent. I assume you used a photo reference, but even so... Almost everything is close to perfection.
Cons:
The border is a little close to the flank / antler on the left
The antler on our right seems to be lit too strongly considering its angle to the sun
Overall opinion/feedback:
Awesome +10/10
